A document with history
Thanks to the kindness of Diego Zelaya, author of this work along with Marcos Babarskas, we have access to this document. Though it is not presented in a checklist-like way the contents clearly show it is in fact. This compilation of the authors' observations, other observers' and those taken from publications take us back to the reserve in 1994. A document not to be missed.

Roberto Suárez, delegate of the PCMA (Bat Conservation Project of Argentina), tells us about this bat "though the photo is a bit dark I would risk to say this is a Lasiurus cinereus. It is easy to recognize for the white tips of the body hair. It seems to be hoary, that is whay the term "cinereus". It is insectivorous and feeds on various insects considered pest"

55 Snail Kites at the reserve - November 13th
At 7:35 pm I saw that a flock of 55 kites landed at the reserve. They are flying very slowly from the north looking for a place to overnight. They landed behind the trees, which I assume is the Gull Pond. It was very dark so I had already put my camera away and I would not have had time to take it out since they landed half a minute later. I also saw the Least Grebe.

Fire on the reserve November 10th 2015
At about 6 pm a fire broke out in near the coast at the Viamonte Access. Fire brigades, three ambulances and a rescue team took part in the operations. There were no injured or people affected by the fume.
In view of this the reserve will be closed today Wednesday. Now Thursday has also been included.

Three pairs nested with sme time apart at Coipos. One at the end of Viamonte, another one half way to Brasil and a third one at the Brasil end. With uneven success as far as the number of cygnets. The Viamonte one had three and two survived. Then the Brasil one was seen with only one cygnet and lately the one nesting half way had five cygnets.
