In this section we will devote to the sistematization of the differences to be better prepared to identify look-alikes. We will constrain our work to birds only of Costanera Sur and with frequent or well-documented records.
One of the problems to identify is reduced to sex. In this case we already know the species. The only thing to look at is the details to define which is the male and which a female.
Nevertheless, when we deal with different species, besides the characteristics strictly related to aspect, there are other factors such as behaviour, habitat, place, song, etc. that play an important role. Voices are essential and are included since in some cases they are the most conclusive proof for identification. The birds will be separated in Non passeriformes and Passeriformes.
