With southern screamer

Gustavo says that "I could barely see it among the leaves. I saw it from the Lizard Path some 100 m. away from Brasil. It was on the edge of a tree on the pond side"

There was only one record of this starling on this site. It was detected by Rodolfo Pani in August 2014. It is considered an invasive species just like the European starling.

Diego found this black-capped warbling-finch feeding a shiny cowbird. This is the first case of parasitism registered this season.

This juvenile caracara got tangled up with the string of a balloon and is trying to get rid of it. It is ringed, so it has been released by the Raptor Rehabilitation Center

Gustavo captured this tiger-heron eating a rallid chick. It was at the beginning of the Canal Viamonte. This is the fourth record of a tiger-heron eating a bird. On previous occasions they preys were white-tufted grebe, European starling and a duckling of yellow-billed teal.

In spite of the difference in size betweeen the caracara and the kiskadee several birds about the size of the kiskadee dare drive the caracara away or even attack it when they feel threatened.
