Order Hymenoptera
Family Braconidae
The Braconidae are parasitoid wasps. A parasitoid lives and develops at the expense of another organism, the host, whom sooner or later is killed.
The Braconidae mainly parasitize eggs or larvae of hemimetabolous insects, though there are phytophagous species and others may parasitize adults or holometabolous insects as well. Many of the adults feed on nectar.
