Rufescent tiger-heron clutch at Canal Viamonte 2020

On September 27th, two days after the reopening of the reserve. Lucas detected a rufescent tiger-heron sitting on eggs right after the turn at the Canal Viamonte. On October 27th Claudia, Milena and Liliana saw the chicks for the first time.
Here they witnessed a feeding scene. The adult regurgitates a semidigested piece in the nest. The little tiger-heron has to pick it up to swallow it. When they are so little and the pieces are too big for their small size, they have to make a great effort and they do not always succeed. When the attempts are fruitless the adult swallows the piece again to digest it a bit more.
