Difference between female laurentia emperor and syma sister
Two butterflies commonly seen in the reserve. Both have white stripes running across the anterior and posterior wings. In both butterflies the white stripes of the anterior wing end in orange dots. In syma sister is a well defined triangle. In laurentia emperor seems the continuation of the white stripe. On the contrary, the white stripes of the posterior wing end in an orange eye only in syma sister. Laurentia emperor lacks this orange eye. This detail is useful when butterflies are not worn.
