Habits goes beyond identification. It is a space of investigation on different aspects on the life of birds. It encompasses topics which deal with the way of feeding, nest-building, parental care, courtship, territorial fights, defense, etc.
Through images the language of birds is disclosed. Clues and features which are exhibited with the purpose of communication. All the examples have been captured in the reserve and with the limitations which are present when taking photos of birds in the wild. Therefore, the information may be fragmentary.
The aspects presented here are: Feeding Technique, Flight Technique, Behaviour and Reproduction. Feeding and Flight Techniques show they develop and their relationship with specific anatomical adaptations. Behaviour is related to the regulation and resolution of conflicts (agonistic behaviour), with displays and with striking behaviours which cast some light on learning, intelligence and communication.
Reproduction encompasses nest building, courtship, mating and parental care since one or more stages of this continuum may be present.
